Mission
The Wilton Chamber
of Commerce (211 Town Green, 762-0567) is a professional,
non-profit corporation. The mission of the Wilton Chamber
of Commerce is: To advance the commercial and civic
interests of the Town of Wilton.
The mission of
the Wilton Chamber of Commerce is carried out in four major
categories:
- ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The Wilton Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to the economic
development of our community. The physical appeal of our
community, the high quality of life we live and the skill
of our work force are some of the best reasons people
are moving their businesses and families to Wilton and
remaining here. The Wilton Chamber of Com-merce works
diligently to promote and expand on Wilton s greatest
resources.
- BUSINESS RELATIONS
The Wilton Chamber of Commerce works on your behalf as
a business advocate to lobby your interests on issues
that are important to you: economic development, health
care, workers compensation, tax and fiscal policy, transportation,
environmental regulation & economic prosperity. As the
Chamber continues to expand its membership it is able
to draw from a broader base of resources, be attentive
to the concerns of more business people and offer an even
stronger legislative voice for Wilton and our region.
- MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS
Our members bottom lines are the Wilton Chamber of Commerce's
top priority. The Chamber offers networking programs to
develop new business; seminars to increase profitability;
advertising opportunities; discount programs and referrals.
Together, these programs are an indispensable package
of opportunities designed to impact our members' bottom
lines.
- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
The Wilton Chamber of Commerce conducts a Holiday Walk,
5K road race, takes part in other community functions,
all with the purpose of improving the quality of life
here in Wilton. In addition, the Chamber is always a willing
participant in special events that bring awareness to
the accomplishments of those who are living and working
in Wilton.
The Chamber's Adopt-A-Spot program is one of the Chamber's
finest accomplishments. Through-out the Town of Wilton
there are areas along the roadside where local businesses
and organizations have cleaned up, beautified and maintained
from year to year. The names of these businesses and
organizations are on signs discretely placed within
the adopted areas. Some spots are still available for

- NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
The Chamber offers various networking opportunities such
as Business After Hours for members interested in expanding
local business contacts. Business After Hours is a monthly
program hosted by members of the Chamber usually from
5:30 - 7:30 p.m. during the business week. These informal
events allow our members to network while learning more
about the host business.
The Chamber also has its Annual Dinner and a 5K road
race in Octobert, a Golf Outing in May, a 5K road race
in Georgetown in June, and a Holiday Reception in December
which are designed to promote "friends, fun & fellowship"
while also being excellent opportunities to make business
contacts.
- BUSINESS SEMINARS
The Chamber provides educational programs and seminars
designed to help develop the skills of executives and
business owners. These regular breakfast meetings are
also held to inform members about current issues affecting
the private sector.
- INSURANCE PROGRAMS
The Chamber is proud to offer its members quality health
and dental insurance at affordable rates. Our insurance
plans are widely viewed as the most affordable plans available
to businesses today. This is why many of our members take
advantage of this direct benefit of membership.
The Chamber offers affordable Workers Compensation

- WILTON
GIFT CERTIFICATE
The Wilton Gift
Certificate, the gift of choice, is a highly successful
sales tool for participating member businesses. Almost
$276,000 worth of gift certificates had been sold as of
the third quarter 2006 - that's money that stays right
here in Wilton! The annual fee to participate in the Gift
Certificate program entitles you to a listing in advertisements
for the program and a listing of every participant with
all gift certificates sold.

- Membership Directory
The Wilton Chamber of Commerce publishes this Membership
Directory on an annual basis. Inside you will find
our member-businesses and their products/services.
With a distribution of 10,000 copies of this directory,
our members are given valuable exposure. It is no
secret that this Directory is an indispensable tool
for all Wilton businesses and households.
- Newsletter
The Wilton Chamber of Commerce publishes its newsletter
quarterly. Chamber News is published by Acorn Press
and is delivered as a supplement to the Wilton Bulletin
newspaper, one of Acorn s publications. Inside Chamber
News is a collection of important information, helpful
hints, member news, program updates and much more.
Advertising opportunities and opportunities to include
your business news are plentiful through Chamber News. All members in good standing with the Chamber may submit press releases for publication in the Member News section of Chamber News. - Mailings
The Wilton Chamber of Commerce conducts mailings on
a monthly basis to our membership. Inside members
find information on upcoming programs and benefits.
The Chamber accepts announcements or fliers from our
members to be added as inserts to our mailings. This
is an excellent and inexpensive way to gain valuable
exposure for your business.
- Business Referrals
The Wilton Chamber of Commerce receives hundreds of
requests each year for information on the Town of
Wilton or specific referrals to area businesses. The
Chamber office eagerly accepts such opportunities
to provide free advertising to our membership
